Marshall Fields or Macy's

The city of Chicago has been freaking out over the pending name change of Marshall Fields to Macy's. From what I understand, Marshall Fields is a Windy City
institution. I was going to write a long winded letter about consumerism, materialism, and the shallow nature of America, but the only relevant thing that needs to be
said is "WHO CARES?!?!". Are these the same people that post an allegiance to Ford or Chevy on their bumper?
Enough people thought this was relevant and made it one of tonight's top news stories. I don't know....I sometimes wonder if I am missing something.
By the way, I am getting married this week and my fiancee is keeping her maiden name for the sake of brand identity (it would also bug me out to have sex with
somebody with the same last name).
